Our Community

We encourage all members of our community to gather, communicate, and build relationships with one another. From business owners to local artisans to families, the individuals of Springfield are what make our community great. Not a member of the community yet? Consider moving to Springfield!

What Makes Springfield Special

Education

With 2 local universities, 3 high schools, 2 middle schools, and 3 elementary schools, Springfield puts education at the top of its priorities list. We invest in the next generation of teachers through our community scholarships, which encourage new graduates to put down roots in Springfield.

Recreation

Our parks are famous state-wide for their walking and biking trails and Horseshoe Lake boasts swimming in summer and skating in winter. Community and rec sports teams exist for all ages, and you'll always see pick-up games of soccer in the local fields.

Environment

Nestled between the forest and the mountains, we are a hotspot for bird watchers, foragers, and changing foliage. Check out our Wildlife Rescue to see what animals live in Horseshoe Lake!

Shop Springfield

We love local businesses. We encourage all our residents to buy local—and we make it easy for them to do so. Our community thrives when our local businesses thrive, and we do everything we can to support businesses new and historic alike.

We're always planning something fun for the whole family
